Arthritis is a painful inflammatory condition that affects the joints. Over time, the discomfort can start to impact on your ability to keep doing the things you enjoy. Legal Notice Vimovo (naproxen 500mg/esomeprazole 20mg) is a Prescription Medicine for the treatment of arthritis where there is a risk of stomach ulcers associated with certain drugs. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible. Not for treatment of acute pain conditions like dental pain. Do not use if you have a history of asthma or allergies caused by aspirin or other NSAIDs, third trimester of pregnancy, severe liver or kidney impairment, heart failure, active gut ulceration and bleeding, bleeding disorders, or with certain antiviral drugs, children 18 years or younger. Cautions: Use with other NSAIDs or Cox 2 inhibitors, in the elderly, systemic lupus and mixed connective tissue disease, history of GI problems like Crohn’s disease. Possible adverse effects include dizziness, headache, taste disturbance, gut disorders, nausea, fluid retention, joint pain, insomnia, depression, tinnitus, breathing difficulty, skin rash, high blood pressure.
